Mike’s a lifelong plumber who has been running Cabrillo Plumbing since 1983. Despite spending nearly every waking hour building Cabrillo Plumbing, Heating and Air, Mike’s managed to create a home life as well. He’s been married for over 30 years and has two grown daughters.
Q – How would you explain the Cabrillo slogan, “The people you want in your home” to someone that asks?
The moment you call, you’ll notice what we mean by the people you want in your home. It’s the “warm-fuzzy” feeling you get when dealing with any of our people. It’s the way we hold your hand throughout the service process – if necessary – to help you understand exactly what we’re doing and why. It’s our professionalism and our care for your home and your family. Our people are the top professionals in their industry. That’s why they’re the people you want in your home.
Q – What do you like best about working at Cabrillo?
Every day is something different! Every day there are challenges to overcome. We work together to solve those problems. Nobody is left on their own. Every day we have new experiences that make us feel good about the service we provide. We don’t just fix people’s plumbing or heating. We provide them with solutions that make them feel good and make us feel good too.
Q – What makes Cabrillo’s customer service so special?
I think about some instances where we’ve dealt with elderly people. There are some unscrupulous companies that would love to take advantage of someone who may not be in the best position to make a decision. Anytime we service an elderly resident, we go out of our way to include any other family members that need to be involved in the decision making, if that’s what the homeowner wants. We’re more than happy to make a few calls and explain what we’re doing. That’s a small example of how we care about our clients. Everyone in our company is here to help in any way they can. I think out level of service is, in some ways, just a natural result of hiring the people we do. They’re all great people and it shows in the way they care for our clients and their families.
